Jones Road Tree Service LLC is a professional tree service company specializing in residential and commercial tree care in greater Houston, Cypress, and Southeast Texas since 1997. Our tree services include tree pruning or trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, new tree planting, tree health care and tree preservation. With a certified arborist on staff, Jones Road Tree Service is built on a solid foundation of arboriculture in knowledge and practice. Our employees are trained in arborist safety and have years of experience in both the science and the art of tree care.
Our service areas include: Cypress, Fairfield, Coles Crossing, Spring, Norchester, Champions/1960, Memorial, Bellaire, West University Place, River Oaks, Houston Heights, Spring Branch, Copperfield, Lakewood, Tomball, Rosehill, Kingwood and The Woodlands. Jones Road Tree Service LLC is owned and operated by fourth generation Houstonian David Mauk who graduated from the University of Houston.
In addition to being an ISA Certified Arborist, David Mauk (TX-4214A) is also recognized as Tree Care Specialist by the Tree Care Industry Association. An entrepreneur, David comes from a family of successful business owners in the Houston area. David’s great grandfather, Richard J. Weis, owned and operated one of the area’s first meat markets on West Dallas Street in downtown Houston. David’s father, Robert Mauk, established multiple businesses including an automotive sales dealership and a specialty cooking wood business that continues to service well known restaurants in Houston and around the world. From his father, David learned firsthand the lasting values of perseverance, integrity and lots of hard work.
While studying business at the University of Houston, David took a part time sales job for a local tree care company. David found early success in sales and soon took an active role in crew management and business development. As it turned out, the tree care industry was the ideal place for David to thrive, combining his passion for business management with his interest in tree care and preservation.
When David had the opportunity to start his own business after graduating from college, he naturally chose to build a tree care company from the ground up and quickly established himself as a leader in the field. Today Jones Road Tree Service is a successful and thriving business, one that its employees are proud to be a part of, and stands apart from other tree services in the area.
An avid learner, David continues to expand his knowledge and education of trees regularly attending tree care industry tradeshows and conventions.
Jones Road Tree Service fully embraces the green movement utilizing bio-friendly equipment and recycling waste products. Our chainsaws, trucks and tree equipment all use AMSOIL synthetic lubricants well known for improving fuel efficiency, decreasing dependence on natural reserves, and reducing emissions. In addition, we use the newest and most efficient Tier III compliant equipment including chainsaws, wood chippers and stump grinders. Our trucks feature the latest clean-idling technology designed to reduce emissions and lower diesel fuel consumption. Lastly, Jones Road Tree Service recycles wood waste by creating assorted mulches and turning logs into firewood.
